Hi. I’m Alana Crow, a character actor who exudes big-hearted, quirky and salt-of-the earth qualities. I excel at playing the loyal wife, caring teacher and spunky neighbor.

After several life changing events pulled me away from the business for far too long, I have returned to have the honor of working with the wonderful casts and crews of Leverage, Capital One, as well as various innovative Indie films.

As a child, I always wanted to perform. My first experience was as a ballet dancer. I studied with the San Francisco Ballet for more than six years and won the highly sought after role of Clara in The Nutcracker for two seasons. And I loved every minute of it…until I discovered my true passion—acting. Acting immediately allowed me to experience so much passion and far more versatility, with a lot less pain…especially to my bloody toes!

After performing in several high school productions, such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Boy Friend, I enrolled as a theatre major at USC. I have also enjoyed studying with Jeff Corey, Al Ruscio, Portland Actor’s Conservatory, as well as Susan Blu and Voicetrax SF for voiceover. One of my most cherished accomplishments was to have the great opportunity to study improv at the Groundlings with the zany Jay Lay and Tom Blank, as well as the founder Gary Austin.

Traveling is in my blood—literally—because my parents were travel agents. On many occasions my brother and I were whisked away on fantastic family adventures—all decided upon by the spin of the globe! Later, I became a Youth Activities Director for Royal Viking Line, planning activities for and entertaining all the younger passengers onboard all while sailing the seas to more than 80 countries.

What’s in my future? I look forward to collaborating with many more colorful actors, writers, directors and producers on projects that will entertain and open the minds and imaginations of audiences worldwide.

My talent, experience, loyalty and ability to have your back will make me an asset to your creative team. And remember, if your project is overseas, my passport is ready… All Systems Go!
